Money for Jam : Episode One – Tradies Lunch & Tanked Drinkwear

September 2nd, 2009

The first episode of Money to Jam went to air Wednesday night (2nd Sep), and was jam packed (sorry couldn’t resist)  full of hints and tips on how you can easily make (or save) a little extra cash.

The 1st episode included stories about :

  • Tanked Drinkware – a business which provides a novel range of clothing  for the “drinking enthusiast” – including hats shirts  and even shorts with a built-in bottle opener.
  • Some tips on how you can get paid for getting free stuff – by trying out and providing your opinion on a range of products and services as part of a Market Research exercise. You don’t need any skills or qualifications…just a bit of time and an opinion!
  • Scott Cam and a bunch of his tradies pooled their resources and took turns to make lunch for the team – they each saved $70 a week.  If you work in an office, factory or building site why not give it a go you could save thousands per year!
  • A stay-at-home mum who loves creating beautiful cakes as inspired to have a go at starting her own home based business making specialty cakes.

Mmoney-for-jam-teamoney for Jam – headed up by former Money host Paul Clitheroe, Deputy Editor of PBL’s ‘Money’ magazine Effie Zahos, and Nine resident personalities Shelley Craft and Shane Crawford, is Nine’s latest infotainment show designed to give viewers recession-busting tips and uncover some unique small business ideas. Money for Jam is on Channel 9 on Wednesday nights at 8:00PM an is scheduled to run for another couple of months.
